Peter Tessier: Don’t Expect a Trade Jets Fans There's no reason to make a move now even though the panic button is broken from over use.

If Pavelec had not been signed to a 5 year deal I might agree with you. Really.

I would try trading Little if he goes on a Hot streak and we are borderline for the playoffs at deadline.

I would look to move antropov and poni as rentals, and little could get you something as well.

Probably not the best signing.

It still looks like management is taking the medium rebuild. This is a great draft coming up and I thinking going all in on it would be the best route to take. You have a number of very good players in their twenties. Those are players are also locked up. But it might be time to think about moving them or some of your problem children. Though the problem children might not fetch their true value on the ice.

But because the two older men are locked up the Jets can ask for fair value if not more. It just depends on what the vision is for building a contender.

But I would looking into trading Ladd. I also would consider something like offering Enstrom to Detroit for say Smith, prospects and picks. If the Jets could pull off getting all three of those from Detroit I think it would be a big difference in their rebuild. Yeah it would suck a bit considering how well they play and Ladd's leadership but you could get a king's ransom. Then figure on two years of high picks and presto if you draft well and don't run into a bad luck pick you should have a stocked team. Then you go out looking at trades or signings to pick up some a veteran or two who has good leadership and a winning pedigree.

Those trades are crazy talk! Sounds like a strategy for NHL 13...Ladd and Enstrom are big parts of the team puzzle. I don't see any of the UFAs worth resigning outside of maybe Clitsome for depth. Somehow they need to get all the RFAs signed. Especially Bogo, Wheeler and Burmistrov. Call me crazy but I'm not sold at all on Pavelec, really think some sort of veteran competition needs to be brought in to push him.
